Planting Technology Fundraiser

Objective
Planting Technology, a New York-based non-profit organization that builds ICT (Information and Communications Technology) centers in rural areas of Africa wanted to organize a fundraising event which would support operating costs for the organization's first year and honor Moët Hennessy's donation of 40 laptops the organization's first village in Ghana.
Our Role
• ConceptLink Consulting provided advisory and on-site event management services for the fundraiser
• Provided logistical support for silent auction and advised Planting Technology on its negotiations with the venue
• Assisted the organization in identifying speakers for the event and in developing its Board of Directors
Results
• Event successfully raised more than $10,000 towards the organization's first year budget
• Helped Planting Technology secure guest speaker who subsequently joined the Board of Directors
